Creative Inventions

The 2026 Shenandoah Valley Bach Festival theme, Creative Inventions, celebrates Bach’s remarkable imagination and his ability to transform music in inventive and unexpected ways. Inspired by his keyboard Inventions and his broader creative spirit, the theme also connects his artistry to innovation beyond music, from scientific breakthroughs of his time to the Voyager I mission carrying his work into space. Creative Inventions highlights how Bach’s genius continues to inspire creativity and discovery across generations.
